OPTIFLUX 1000

🧪 What This Data Means — For Quick Client Selection

  • Range flexibility: With sizes from DN 10 to DN 150, OPTIFLUX 1000 covers small to moderate pipelines — ideal for water distribution, utilities, and process loops.
  • Conductive liquids only: Because of electromagnetic principle, fluid conductivity must be ≥ ~5 µS/cm; suitable for water, process water, treated wastewater — not for gases or non-conductive fluids.
  • Accuracy suitable for general-purpose & utility use: With ±0.5% (or better) accuracy, it’s fine for water management, billing, utility tracking, but for custody-transfer billing or high-precision process control, higher-accuracy series (e.g., premium mag meters) might be considered.
  • Compact installation: Wafer style makes it easy to install even in space-constrained plants or retrofits — helpful for utility pipelines, small pump water lines, irrigation, etc.
  • Chemical compatibility & temperature range: With PFA liner and up to 120 °C capability, it can handle moderate temperature water and many process liquids — good for general industrial use.

Flexible electronics: You can choose simpler or more advanced converters depending on budget — helps optimize cost vs performance depending on application.

Parameter Specification / Details
Flow Sensor Size DN 10 … 150 (¾″ … 6″)
Meter Type / Design “Wafer-/sandwich”- style electromagnetic flow sensor (no restriction in bore)
Suitable Media Conductive liquids (min. conductivity ≥ 5 µS/cm) — water, wastewater, process water, conductive chemicals
Temperature Range (Process Fluid) –25 °C to +120 °C (depending on liner and configuration)
Maximum Operating Pressure Up to PN 40 / ASME Cl. 300 (depending on configuration/flange rating)
Liner Material Reinforced PFA liner (standard); compatible with general and reasonably aggressive liquids.
Accuracy (with Suitable Converter) • With IFC 050 converter: ±0.5% of measured value + 1 mm/s

• With IFC 100 converter: ±0.4% of mv + 1 mm/s

Minimum Conductivity ≥ 5 µS/cm for reliable measurement (as specified by KROHNE)
Solid Content Tolerance Suitable for liquids with low-to-moderate solids / particles (non-abrasive) — suitable for general applications like water, wastewater, clean process liquids.
Installation Type Wafer/sandwich, spade-style – minimal piping alteration, compact footprint — easy retrofit/ OEM integration.
Reynolds / Flow Velocity Range Acceptable flow velocity range per manufacturer for accuracy — performance verified by calibration. (Refer datasheet for flow-velocity vs. accuracy curve)
Output / Converter Compatibility Works with IFC 050 / IFC 100 / IFC 300 / IFC 400 series converters — thus can be configured with basic or advanced signal electronics based on application needs.
Common Applications Water supply, irrigation, utility & raw-water lines, wastewater, general conductive liquid flow measurement, OEM plants, municipal & industrial water distribution.
